Welcome To BlueTown is a musical comedy drama set in the fictional town of BlueTown. It tells the story of 19 year old BlueGirl, an unhappy office receptionist, who dreams of a golden future as a world renowned singer/songwriter.

When her parents are killed in a car crash, BlueGirl becomes the main breadwinner and caretaker of her 9 year old sister Bluella and her 17 year old brother, Billy. She works at the Town Hall during the day - a job she loathes - but at night she gigs at the Blue Banana Bar in an attempt to make some much needed money and to get noticed.  She is joined in her pursuit of the bigtime by her best friend, Butterfly Belle, the sassy urban queen of BlueTown and hindered by her enemy, Pink Pearl, the waspish spoilt daughter of the town's mayor.

At home BlueGirl copes with increasing money worries and mounting bills. At work she contends with a jealous and tyrannical boss who sabotages her every move inside and outside of the office.
BlueGirl works hard to realize her dreams and along the way she  meets an array of shady characters, however she is nothing if not resilient and keeps on trying even when the odds seem stacked against her. 

Through one girl's story and the characters who inhabit her world, Welcome To BlueTown looks at society's obsession with fame and the lengths some people will go to achieve it.
