I miss my mom and dad so much. That first year without them was really hard. I had just turned 18 and was suddenly thrust into the world of adulthood with no instructions on how to be an adult.  I was suddenly mother and father and sister to my siblings and had to think fast about how to keep us all together.

My dream had always been to go to the Rainbow County Conservatory of Music as soon as I finished high school but with mom and dad dying that dream had to be put to bed. I got myself a job on the reception desk at the town hall and started gigging at the Blue Banana Bar a couple of nights a week. Both of these jobs now keep me and my family housed and fed.

Billy works a couple of shifts at the Blue Banana, collecting glasses so that helps a little but my main concern is that Billy and Bluella get a good education and as the oldest sibling it's my duty to make sure that that happens. Bluella loves to learn but Billy is a handful and would rather be up to no good than studying, so I have to keep a close eye on him.

So far things are working out okay. Money is very tight but we are together and that's all that matters right now. We may not always get along but we're family and we're all each other has.
